About the Person
Nina Steindl studied Communication Science with a focus on journalism studies, and Cultural and Social Anthropology, focusing on violence and gender research, at the University of Vienna. After graduating in 2011, she did an internship at the Austrian Embassy in Washington, D.C. (USA). From 2012 to 2013, she worked as a teaching and research associate at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna. Since 2014, she has been working in the research unit of Prof. Dr. Thomas Hanitzsch, and she completed her doctorate at LMU Munich in 2020.
From 2019 to 2025, Nina Steindl was a member of the DFG-funded network on media trust in the digital age and received the Wolfgang Donsbach Outstanding Journal Article of the Year Award in 2024.
